Jerri will:
- Expand paid family and medical leave
- Support labor rights and collective bargaining
- Promote workforce development and vocational training
- Invest in small businesses, especially in underserved areas
Public Education That Works for All
We fund what we value—and it’s time Tennessee starts valuing public schools again.
Jerri will:
- Fully fund K-12 public education—not siphon dollars into unaccountable voucher schemes
- Raise teacher pay and restore respect to the profession
- Expand access to school counselors, nurses, and support staff
- Protect honest, inclusive education—not censorship and political theater
- Invest in universal pre-K, special education, and rural schools
- Launch Public Service Year Program for high school graduates
- Waive GED testing fees and take testing to all corners of the state
Health Care as a Right, Not a Luxury
No one should go bankrupt or die because they live in the wrong ZIP code.
Jerri will:
- Expand Medicaid to cover more working families and keep rural hospitals open
- Protect and improve TennCare
- Defend reproductive freedom and the right to choose
- Support maternal health equity—especially for Black women
- Invest in mental health services and addiction recovery
Support for Families, Parents, and Caregivers
Families are the foundation of our state. They deserve policies that reflect that.
Jerri will:
- Make child care affordable and accessible
- Expand home visiting programs and early childhood development support
- Provide paid leave to parents and caregivers
- Support elder care programs for aging family members
- Lift families out of poverty—not punish them with cruel cuts to SNAP or housing aid

- Improve government transparency and accountability
- Appoint qualified, ethical leaders—not political cronies
- Show up, listen, and lead with facts—not fear

Jerri will:
- Protect Tennessee’s rivers, forests, farmland, and public lands from pollution and overdevelopment
- Enforce clean air and water standards, especially in marginalized communities
- Invest in renewable energy and green jobs
- Prepare communities for climate resilience and disaster recovery
Gun Safety to Protect Our Kids and Our Communities
We can honor the Second Amendment and still pass laws that keep our children safe.
Jerri will:
- Require universal background checks on all gun sales
- Implement red flag laws to prevent gun violence before it happens
- Close domestic violence loopholes
- Provide free gun locks and safe storage education statewide
- Re-implement training and testing for responsible gun ownership, especially for conceal carry permits
Protecting Reproductive Freedom
No politician belongs in your doctor’s office. Period.
Jerri will:
- Repeal Tennessee’s near-total abortion ban
- Restore access to reproductive health care, including contraception and emergency care
- Protect IVF and miscarriage management from state interference
