I’m Jerri Green
A lifelong Tennessean, lawyer, public servant, educator, and proud mom of three. I’ve lived in Memphis, Nashville, and Knoxville, and I know firsthand the beauty, the struggles, and the deep values that define every corner of this state.
I’ve spent my life showing up for my community when it matters most—whether fighting for the most vulnerable as a public defender, advocating for living wages as a Memphis City Councilor, or championing healthcare access and fundamental freedoms as a leader in County Government. I’m no stranger to tough fights and I have a record of winning.
Now, I’m bringing that same fire to the Governor’s race—because Tennessee families deserve better.

What I Stand For

In my time in public service, I have:
- Vaccinated over 70% of the local jail population during COVID
- Secured funding for transitional housing
- Improving maternal health care by funding black midwife fellows
- Raised wages for Shelby County employees to a real living wage
- Launched Tennessee’s first free gun lock-by-mail program
- Worked to support Afghan refugee families settling in Shelby County after serving our country
- Reduced HIV stigma through more direct testing
